CT Scan

A CT Scan is an X-Ray exam that combines X-rays and computer software to create cross sectional images allow the structures within the body to b visualized ina a 3D view.

Some of the common uses of the CT scan include:

  • Assessment of a body part’s structure or shape
  • Diagnosis of disease, particularly cancer
  • Diagnosis of trauma or injury
  • Diagnosis of vascular disease
  • Aid to planning particular surgeries
  • Aid to planning radiotherapy
  • Visual aid to radiotherapy administration
  • Visual aid to certain interventional procedures (going inside the body) such as biopsy or needle aspiration
  • Measurement of bone strength
  • Alternative to some types of exploratory or diagnostic surgery.

Radiology

Radiology is the science which deals with the use of radiant energy for the diagnosis and treatment of a disease. A minimally invasive form of medicare, it allows the doctor to study a patient’s internal system, without making any cuts on the body.

Some of the common uses of the Radiology include:

  • The type of cancer.
  • The size of the cancer.
  • The cancer’s location in the body.
  • How close the cancer is to normal tissues that are sensitive to radiation.
  • How far into the body the radiation needs to travel.
  • The patient’s general health and medical history.
  • Whether the patient will have other types of cancer treatment
  • Other factors, such as the patient’s age and other medical conditions.

2D,3D,4D Ultrasound

This type creates two dimensional images that help your health care provider determine your baby's gestational age and evaluate your baby's growth and development. The 3D Ultrasound offers 3D images, sometimes with photo quality details. It is currently used in selected medical centers to help health care providers further evaluate images from advanced ultrasounds. If your doctor suspects your baby may have birth defects, she may order a new technology called three-dimensional (3D) ultrasound, which produces still images that are almost as detailed as photographs., 4D ultrasound produces a moving picture version of 3D ultrasound.

Specialty Lab

Pulse Imaging has a dedicated specialty lab services division that caters to the outsourced needs of such hospitals and laboratories, allowing them to expand their diagnosis and treatment options, while ensuring that patients have access to the very diagnostic expertise and technology.

common Blood Test are:

  • Hemoglobin A1C
  • Fibrinogen
  • Chemistry Panel and Complete Blood Count
  • DHEA
  • Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) (Men Only)
  • Homocysteine
  • Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
  • Testosterone (Free)
  • C-Reactive Protein
  • Estradiol

P F T Test

Is a complete evaluation of the respiratory system including patient history, physical examinations, chest x-ray examinations, arterial blood gas analysis, and tests of pulmonary function. The primary purpose of pulmonary function testing is to identify the severity of pulmonary impairment.[1] Pulmonary function testing has diagnostic and therapeutic roles and helps clinicians answer some general questions about patients with lung disease. PFT's are normally performed by a Respiratory Therapist.

Sonography

It is a special form of ultrasonography that images and examines blood flow. In particular, a Doppler ultrasound examines the change in pitch in the soundwaves produced, which provides information about blood flow. The direction of blood flow is shown in different colors on the screen. This type of imaging can provide details about circulation which is particularly helpful if you have high blood pressure or your baby is growing more slowly than expected. If your doctor suspects your baby might have a heart defect, he or she may suggest a fetal echocardiography -- a special ultrasound that looks at the baby's heart. Most ultrasounds examine the structure and function of the heart, but fetal echocardiography provides more detailed pictures that can help your doctor rule out a problem or define it more clearly.Sonogrphy is an ultrasound-based diagnostic imaging technique used for visualizing subcutaneous body structures including tendons, muscles, joints, vessels and internal organs for possible pathology or lesions. The practice of examining pregnant women using ultrasound is called obstetric sonography, and is widely used. Ultrasounds are regularly ordered for women who have problems with their cycle. It allows the doctor to see the woman's uterus and ovaries for anything that could be causing her problems. It doesn't necessarily mean she's pregnant, ultrasounds are done on pretty much any soft tissue in the body.

  • uterus
  • Pregnancy
  • tendons
  • muscles
  • joints
  • internal organs

Digital Mamography

Mammography is the study of the breast using x rays. The actual test is called a mammogram. It is an x ray of the breast which shows the fatty, fibrous, and glandular tissues. There are two types of mammograms. A screening mammogram is ordered for women who have no problems with their breasts. It consists of two x ray views of each breast: a craniocaudal (from above) and a mediolateral oblique (from the sides). A diagnostic mammogram is for evaluation of abnormalities in either men or women. Additional x rays from other angles, or special coned views of certain areas, are taken

ECG

An electrocardiogram (ECG / EKG) is an electrical recording of the heart and is used in the investigation of heart disease. Electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) is a non-invasive test that records and displays the electrical activities produced by heart muscle during a cardiac cycle. The ECG test is a standard clinical tool for diagnosing abnormal heart rhythms and to assess the general condition of a heart, such as myocardial infarctions, atrial enlargements, ventricular hypertrophies, and bundle branch blocks.
